The Flower Bin has a very large selection of herbs available year around, both annual and perennial. Our goal is to offer herbs for culinary, medicinal, crafting and many other uses. We display information on each type of herb regarding its growing and care need-growing zones, light and watering needs. We offer starter plants on almost all of our herbs and then have larger potted plants for many of our customer favorites. We have a solid core of year-round plants that we grow in our own greenhouse plus lesser known or used herbs grown by some of our suppliers as they become available through the season. For example, the Flower Bin regularly carries 12 different types of basil, 8 types of thyme, 10 varieties of mints, and 9 types of lavender. We offer eucalyptus, spilantes, self heal, feverfew, comfrey, rue and numerous other medicinal herbs as individual plants and in herb gardens. We provide information on plants used to control or repel insects, or herbs that attract beneficial bees and butterflies. Our customers keep us apprised of the herbs they are seeking and we make an effort to include these in our selection. Finally, we have knowledgeable staff to answer questions on growing herbs, keeping them healthy, and dealing with any issues that come up regarding this. We aim to keep our customers satisfied and informed herb gardeners for many years to come.
